Scientists have created genetically modified cattle that produce "human" milk in a bid to make cows' milk more nutritious.
(The Telegraph) The scientists have successfully introduced human genes into 300 dairy cows to produce milk with the same properties as human breast milk.
Human milk contains high quantities of key nutrients that can help to boost the immune system of babies and reduce the risk of infections.
The scientists behind the research believe milk from herds of genetically modified cows could provide an alternative to human breast milk and formula milk for babies, which is often criticized as being an inferior substitute.
They hope genetically modified dairy products from herds of similar cows could be sold in supermarkets. The research has the backing of a major biotechnology company.
The work is likely to inflame opposition to GM foods. Critics of the technology and animal welfare groups reacted angrily to the research, questioning the safety of milk from genetically modified animals and its effect on the cattle's health.
But Professor Ning Li, the scientist who led the research, and director of the State Key Laboratories for AgroBiotechnology at the Chin Agricultural University, insisted that the GM milk would be as safe to drink as milk from ordinary cows. (Read more)
The credit card-sized codices that academics speculate are actually the lost collection of codices mentioned in the Book of Revelation, may be fakes.
The books were discovered five years ago in a cave in a remote part of Jordan to which Christian refugees are known to have fled after the fall of Jerusalem in 70AD. Important documents from the same period have previously been found there.
Initial metallurgical tests indicate that some of the books could date from the first century AD.
The cache is believed to have surfaced when a menorah was exposed in a flash flood. How they fell into the hands of Mr Hassan Saeda, an illiterate Israeli Bedouin, remains a mystery, although the fact that he has previous convictions for fraud and smuggling suggests they were not entirely above board.
In an article in today's Telegraph, the writer explains how the Elkington's came to own the codices. With each detail provided by this married couple, the plot thickens. As they describe the details with much embellishment, they sound like they want to sell their story.
The Elkingtons are vague about how they became aware of the treasure trove three years ago, insisting a ''friend'' was emailed images of them.
"When I first saw them I thought they had to be fakes," Elkington says. ''I could see the language was ancient Hebrew and I thought: 'these are bloody good fakes.' But when I researched the sealed books in the book of Revelations I knew these codices had to be examined by experts.''
What is he referring to?
"And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?" Rev. 5:1
Note that Jesus approached the throne of His Father to receive the book.
"And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne. And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints. And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth." Rev. 5:7-10
God is in possession of this book, not a couple of treasure seekers and a seller of antiquities. I'll wait to see how these tablets are translated, before I decide to write them completely off as a fake. Perhaps the tablets tell the same type of tall tales as the Gnostic Gospels.
Council on Foreign Relations member and mega-church pastor Rick Warren has a habit of compromising biblical truth to forge unholy alliances with sworn enemies of the Gospel. Warren has stepped onto the slippery slope and landed exactly in the "interfaith" camp, rather than being faithful to the Lord Jesus Christ and His inerrant Word. His endorsement of the former British Prime Minister's "Tony Blair Faith Foundation" is only part of his "interfaith" sell-out.
For example, when Rick Warren gave President Barack Obama's inaugural invocation in January 2009, his inclusive ecumenical idolatry was loud and clear. Using the modern evangelism tool of "bridge building" in order to reach the lost is one thing, but there is nothing more damaging to the Gospel than inter-faith dialogue - especially on the scale of Warren's ministry.
Let's Backtrack
Were you overwhelmed with the fact that Obama was elected, inaugurated, and you couldn't bear listening to Rick Warren's inaugural prayer? If you missed it, as I did, you would have missed the piece of the puzzle that will bring about the religion of the Antichrist. Listen to this excerpt.
“I humbly ask this in the name of the one who changed my life, Yeshua, Isa, Jesus….”
Of course, Isa would have been understood by Muslims, to be the Islamic prophet mentioned throughout the Koran. Warren’s prayer to Allah, in the name of Isa, should have shocked every Christian who heard that prayer, but the media covered it up. The Bible says,
“The priests said not, Where [is] the LORD? and they that handle the law knew me not: the pastors also transgressed against me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal, and walked after [things that] do not profit." – Jeremiah 2:8
Well, let's try to give Warren the benefit of the doubt and listen to his explanation of who Isa is.
As you heard Warren say, he believes that Isa and the Lord Jesus Christ are one in the same. Why would he do this? According to researcher and Pastor Joe Schimmel, "World peace is dependent on Muslims and Christians recognizing "Allah" and "Yahweh" as the same God."
Schimmel explains that over 300 prominent Christian leaders signed a letter issued by the Yale Center for Faith and Culture claiming the importance of this unity. The letter titled "Loving God and Neighbor Together,"was written in response to a signed document by 138 Muslim leaders titled "A Common Word Between Us and You." Brian McLaren, Rick Warren, Robert Schuller and Bill Hybels were just several of the signatories, [1] as well as Tony Blair and Pope Benedict.
Warren wearing a traditional kufi, typically worn by Muslim men.
Schimmel goes onto say, "Both of these documents affirmed Muhammad as a "Prophet" of God and declared that world peace was dependent on mutual affirmation of the "unity" of God.
Dr. William Lane Craig, a leading Christian apologist and philosopher, correctly stated that by signing this document, Rick Warren and others were, in effect, signing up to become Muslims! This is because an affirmation of Allah as God is a denial of the Triune God revealed in Holy Scripture. Moreover, the Quran denies that Jesus is the Son of God, no less than nine times."
The Islamic "Common Word" document, in effect, calls on Christians to affirm the Islamic understanding of the unity of God as a precondition to achieving world peace. Part and parcel of implementing Shariah law around the world is the imposition of the worship of Allah worldwide:
Believe in Allah and say not "Trinity." Cease! It is better for you! Allah is only One God. Far is it removed from his transcendent majesty that he should have a son. (Quran, Sura 4:171) [2]
This Explains A Lot!
This is why there has been a shift away from "sin issues" — like abortion and gay marriage — in Warren's approach - which has been a dumbing down of Christianity. He says he is more interested in issues that he feels are "uniting," such as "poverty, HIV/AIDS, climate change and human rights." These are all U.N. goals, by the way.
Eight years ago, he concocted what he calls the PEACE plan, a bid to turn every single Christian church on earth into a provider of local health care, literacy and economic development, leadership training and spiritual growth. The enterprise has collected testimonials from Bono, the First Couple, Hillary Clinton, Obama, McCain and Billy Graham, who called it "the greatest, most comprehensive and most biblical vision for world missions I've ever heard or read about." [3] Since when is Socialism biblical?
When public and Church leadership promote Warren's plan, it gives credibility to his lies, and presents Christ as one of many ways to heaven. Influential pastor's, such as John Piper, have given credibility to Warren's work, which only builds trust and helps build more bridges to hell.
Islam End Time Prophecy This CBN broadcast gives you a feel for how close we are to having them hatch their plan.
In some YouTube videos, Armedinejad states that the Zionists have changed Muslim end time prophecy into one of violence, and that the Imam Mahdi will bring peace. But Muslims are told in the Koran that it is alright to lie to the infidel, so this statement may be completely false. Regardless, as we wait for the Imam Mahdi and the false Jesus of Islam to claw their way out of that silly well, we will then learn how many Christian leaders will lead their congregations down the wide path. The Bible emphatically warned about those who would come presenting a counterfeit Jesus'.
"Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.Behold, I have told you before.Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together." Matthew 24:23-28
Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair will be the keynote speaker for Union University’s 14th annual Scholarship Banquet, Oct. 3 at the Carl Perkins Civic Center in Jackson, Tenn. Union is the oldest institution affiliated with Southern Baptist life and quite welcoming of this prominent Fabian Socialist. This is evidence that the Church is being easily fooled by the error in the ecumenical movement. (Read announcement)
New evidence has emerged that the Iranian government sees the current unrest in the Middle East as a signal that the Mahdi--or Islamic messiah--is about to appear.
CBN News has obtained a never-before-seen video produced by the Iranian regime that says all the signs are moving into place -- and that Iran will soon help usher in the end times.
While the revolutionary movements gripping the Middle East have created uncertainty throughout the region, the video shows that the Iranian regime believes the chaos is divine proof that their ultimate victory is at hand. (Read more)
Watch the video: The Coming is Upon Us Currently this movie is being distributed throughout the Basij and Revolutionary Guards’ bases. The producers are in the middle of translating it into Arabic with the purpose of mass distribution throughout the Middle East. Their intention is to incite further uprisings with the hopes of motivating Arabs to overthrow U.S. backed governments with the final goal of the annihilation of Israel and Allah’s governance of the world!
This movie has been produced in Iran by an organization called “Conductors of The Coming” in collaboration with the Iranian president’s office and the Basij (Iranian paramilitary force). [1]
ATHENS, Greece (AP) — Several thousand Orthodox Christian fundamentalists have marched through central Athens to protest a government plan to issue new electronic ID cards they say would include the number 666, or the "number of the beast," hidden in a design.
The protesters claim the state aims for tighter control over its citizens and many believe that the design of the cards includes the number described in the Book of Revelation. The cards will include biometric information.
The mostly elderly crowd includes hundreds of Orthodox priests, monks and nuns and a few dozen members of far-right groups. Most of the crowd dispersed upon reaching the Parliament at Athens' central Syntagma Square, heading off to dozens of waiting buses that have carried them from across the country.
